1. What are the main messages in each of the articles?

The main message of the first article WEB 2.0 LEARNING PLATFORM:
Harnessing Collective Intelligence is the strengths and the limitations of Web 2.0, E-Learning 2.0, and Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) today.
The main message of the second article Skills 2.0 is that how Web 2.0 plays a key role of conversation, and conversation is an essential part of being a learning professional today

2. What are the supporting messages?

● The web is altering our relationships with hierarchies, institutions, accreditation, and expertise.
● One person cannot know everything, but can add to, as well as benefit from, the knowledge of others by engaging in various online conversations.

3. What are the examples they used to illustrate these messages?

● BYUH has started an e-learning development initiative in which students trained in instructional design theory and multimedia authoring develop online courses under the mentorship of a professor of instructional design and development.
● The comments from David Williamson Shaffer, author of How Computer Games Help Children Learn.

4. How do you feel? What do you think you can apply in your own professional development?

I feel that it is very important for people today to know how to use the technology to learn (E-learning), because it saves time and money. I think I can review what the teachers have taught in my IDD classes by using SCORM. In that case, I can review what I missed or didn’t understand in the class easily. For example, in my IDD315 class, the professor put every course material on the blackboard, so we can mostly learn the skills by ourselves if we want.

I am Max Chen, a city boy from Taiwan Taipei. My families are all the members of the church since I was very young. There are four people in my family, my parents and my older brother who is two and half years old than me. I served my LDS mission in Taiwan Kaohsiung Mission and am a honorable return missionary. I have gone to university for two years before I served my mission in Taiwan. At that time, my major was Art and Design. I like drawing since I was young, and it made me became closer and closer to art. Therefore, art became my biggest interest, and I want to do something about art when I grow up.
